Naomi’s thirty-year experience as a trusted partner to leaders in philanthropy, education, economic development and government creates a wealth of knowledge that she applies in every engagement. With her background, extensive network and global perspective, she is a sought-after advisor to non-profits, corporations and philanthropists.
She graduated from Tufts University and obtained a J.D. from The National Law Center at The George Washington University. Naomi launched her career as a legislative assistant on Capitol Hill. Following positions in state and local government, she honed her philanthropic acumen as a senior member of the University of Miami’s development team over a sixteen-year career. While there, she spearheaded efforts that resulted in over $3 billion raised in two highly successful back-to-back campaigns. Naomi feels privileged to have worked alongside many of the institution’s most transformative philanthropists implementing programs that achieved their goals and aligned with the University’s highest priorities. During this time, she designed a number of signature programs including Women in Leadership and Philanthropy in order to engage and elevate the next generation of women leaders.
The mother of three grown children and a third-generation resident of Miami Beach, Naomi lives with her husband and goldendoodle on the street where she grew up, She is dedicated to the community through her own philanthropic and hands-on contributions, active in her synagogue, Temple Beth Sholom, and serves on the Boards of the University of Miami Hillel and Goodwill Industries South Florida.
Naomi’s hobbies include art and poetry, as well as hiking in the woods of New Hampshire and Vermont. Naomi looks forward to renewing the family tradition of traveling to her husband’s family village in the mountains of the Peloponnese in Greece.
